March 25, 2009

Hey Guys,
Had an exciting day today. I went to the dentist. had an appointment with an oral surgeon. he was a nice colonel. A full bird Col. ha ha . Anyway, he pulled my top two and bottom right wisdom teeth. The whole thing took like 15 minutes. It's kinf of nice cause I'm on bed rest for 24 hours and do PT for another 48. I'm taking 800mg of vicodin, every 4 hours. So I'm not hurting to bed. eating sucks tho.
cause of the stitches in my mouth for the bottom one cause it had to be cut out. he said i could get the other out when i get to my duty station, but then i told him i am going ranger, and he told me i better do it before i graduate. So i have to talk to drill sargent to see how to fit that in without missing to much training.

So the DS picked platoon leadership, one platoon guide, which is Perez. great guy so everybody is happy he he is in charge. Theres a squad leader for each squad and 2 team leaders per squad. I didn't get picked for any positions just yet but thats just fine by me at this point. Jones is my team leader and McMillon is my squad leader. So I'm happy with all my leadership appointed above me.
The ds found a list of where everyone is getting stationed already. Technically we aren't supposed to know yet but oh well. it looks like most regular infantry in C Co. are getting placed into mechanized striker units. (tanks). either in Hawaii or Ft Polk Louisiana. Anyone with airborne in thier contract are going to either 82nd airborne Ft Bragg NC. or 503 airborne i think in Italy. Lucky bastards. I get to stay here in GA for ranger training however. There are 3 ranger battalions, and after training in like August, I get to choose which one i get stationed at. Either here at Ft Benning, or Ft. Lewis in Washington which would be beautiful, or Ft Stewart which i think is in GA also.
We've been shooting at range all week, and we can see people doing airborne jumps in the background. they do jumps of like 30 people every 10 minutes. it looks like way to much fun. oh, and the range is like right next to sniper school. how cool is that!!

didn't noticed much about st patricks day. we kind of all wear green anyways so when you think about it, we wouldn't be able to notice much different. i think ds said something about it when he cme in hung over.
getting my class A uniforms tomorrow!

thats all for now.
miss everyone. keep writing me please. thanks

corey
