Gas Chamber Feb 25, 2009

So i went into the gas chamber today. I was so nervous before i went in, but I did it and handled myself way better then i thought I would. Took my gas mask off and started breathing for about 15 or 20 seconds and said my last name and social. LOL. Sounds easy but it's not believe me. And if you throw up then you have to start all over again. Luckily I didn't have to.
Afterwards we took a class on chemical warfare which was fairly interesting. Then, they gave us each an MRE for lunch. So that was cool.
Just getting there today was like 15 or 20 minutes by bus. This place is amazingly huge! We drove by the shooting range on the way. I think I start there next week. I'm getting excited being as 24 hours a day my rifle is no more then 1 or 2 feet away from me. It's a tease, but it's good for teaching safety. A lot of people here need it. There are about 5 or 6 people I just don't trust with live rounds yet.
My friend base here has grown. Theres a group of 7 or so of us going ranger. And we get along great thank God. Tomorrow is day 6 in basic. I guess time is going by kind of quick but I'm not really thinking about it all that much.
Things get boring at times, like just stand around in formation and practice marching for hours.

I will write again tomorrow. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Love
Corey
